The Italian's Chelsea exit was confirmed on New Year's Day in what was a brutal decision from the Blues board, who have taken no time in replacing him with former Strasbourg head coach Liam Rosenior.
Maresca penned a letter to supporters around the world on his Instagram account, sending an emotional message to those who supported him during his time at the club.

“Victories that I will always hold in my heart! A special thank you to all the players who have accompanied me on this wonderful journey.
