Kroos and Vinicius won several titles together, including multiple UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles, as well a number of Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cups in what was one of Madrid’s most successful periods in history.
As per Marca, Kroos spoke on his relationship with the 24-year-old during their time together at Real Madrid as speculation grows surrounding the Brazilian’s future.
"I’ve always liked them very much, from a very young age. At Real Madrid with Vinicius, Casemiro and (Eder) Militao I have always had a good relationship. They enjoy life very much, they have a very different life from the Germans.
“With Casemiro or Vini I got along perfectly. I had a great connection with Vinicius. I got along very well with him off the pitch as well.
“If you have a bad relationship off the pitch, it’s difficult to have it on the pitch. I took advantage of Vinicius’ runs and he took advantage of my passes."
The Saudi Pro League has emerged as Vinicius Jr.’s most likely destination if he were to leave the Spanish giants, as contract talks continue to stall.
Despite his future being up in the air, Kroos still clearly values Vinicius, who could leave as soon as the summer transfer window opens as he seeks a new chapter.
