Tottenham boss Igor Tudor has spoken to the media ahead of the Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.

Tottenham need to overcome a 5-2 deficit from the first leg in Madrid if they want to progress to the Quarter Final in what seems like an almost impossible task for Tudor and his injury riddled squad.

Spurs managed to end a six-game losing run in all competitions against Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday and their thoughts may still be on their relegation fight rather than a European run this season.

Team news

Tudor first spoke on team news as he revealed some worrying news about Conor Gallagher who may not be available for the clash.

"Joao Palhinha is a no, Destiny (Udogie) and Lucas (Bergvall) will be on the bench, but not part of the game too much as they have just come back to us.

"Cristian Romero is there, he can play. (The concussion for) Joao was worse, but Cristian can play."

On Gallagher: "We see today what we can do. He has asthma problems, maybe some virus, it is not a nice thing. We will see tomorrow if he is fit for the bench."

Is a comeback possible?

Tudor next spoke on the result against Liverpool which is the first game he has not lost since taking over from Thomas Frank earlier this season.

He says his side need to continue this consistency as they try to forge a comeback against Atletico on Wednesday night.

"Of course, it is important when you give a good performance to confirm the good will, and to start to change things. The players really care, they want to do well.

"It is not easy to start to move things, but this is one good game. If you are honest on the pitch, football will give you it back. Now we need to continue in this direction."

On a possible comeback: "It is difficult but not impossible. We need to stay in the game, focus on our strengths. Everything is still to play for, believing we can do it is the important thing from the start."

Spurs have only won three of their last 16 UEFA games against Spanish opposition and a turning over a 3 goal deficit would stun the rest of the competition in what would be an incredible comeback for the North London side.
