Tottenham welcome Atletico Madrid to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Wednesday night for the second leg of their last-16 contest in the Champions League following their 5-2 defeat last week.
Spurs managed to end a six-game losing run in all competitions against Liverpool and will take confidence from such a result as they attempt to do the impossible and turn the tie around.
The good news for interim boss Igor Tudor is that three players including returned to training this week in what is a huge boost to the injury riddled squad.
Captain Cristian Romero was involved after coming out of the concussion protocol as he was joined by Lucas Bergvall who returned to training after almost two months out with an ankle injury.
The 19-year-old midfielder suffered a high ankle sprain during Tuesday's UEFA Champions League fixture against Borussia Dortmund and underwent surgery last month which was a success.
Bergvall also linked up with James Maddison who reportedly emerged before the rest of the team did on Tuesday. He is still continuing his recovery however and will not be available for this week’s clash.
Finally, defender was involved in training with the group as he recovers from a hamstring injury which means Tudor now has 4 first team stars who are almost ready to earn their place back in the starting eleven.
