Mohamed Salah has announced he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season in a video message to fans earlier this week.
The Egyptian will leave Anfield having won a haul of trophies, including two Premier League titles, the Champions League, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup and the Club World Cup.
His announcement sparked reports linking several players to The Reds who will hope to replace him once the campaign is over.
Recent have claimed that Liverpool are willing to pay up to €200M to sign Bayern Munich star Michael Olise in the summer, reports that Hoeness has shrugged off without hesitation.
“Liverpool have already spent €500M this year (last summer) and are having a very poor season. We won’t contribute to them playing better next year.
“We play this game for our fans. We have 430,000 members, we have millions of fans worldwide, and it doesn’t help them much if we have €200M in the bank but play worse football every Saturday because of it,” The Bayern chief added.
Olise has registered 43 direct goal involvements (16 goals and 27 assists) in 39 appearances for the German Champions League this season.
Signing Olise for such a price would see Liverpool smash the British transfer record once again having signed Alexander Isak for £125M last summer from Premier League rivals Newcastle.
The Frenchman has since netted 36 goals and contributed a further 50 assists in just 94 appearances across all competitions and could be the perfect replacement for Salah once he says his goodbyes at Anfield later this season.
