Rosenior confirmed Tosin Adarabioyo will be “out for the next few weeks” with a hamstring problem which has allowed Disasi to return to first-team training this week.
The Blues face Marseille in the Champions League and whilst Disasi has gone over 12 months without making a senior appearance, he could slide right back into the side to face the French giants.
This come after the defender was placed on the transfer list by former boss Enzo Maresca, who was keen to offload the 27-year-old who is now in his prime.
Disasi has not featured for Chelsea since January 20th, 2025, when he played against Wolves and has found himself on loan at Aston Villa last season before failing to land a transfer out of West London for good in the summer.
Disasi returned to training on Tuesday and should be involved against Marseille on Wednesday night in what could be a chance for interested teams from England, Italy and France to see what he can to on the European stage.
Talks have been had
Rosenior spoke on the defender and admitted that lengthy discussions had been made:
"My decision on Axel, I had a really good meeting with him a couple of days ago. I wanted to catch up with him, see where he was in terms of his career.
"I said to the players, it's one thing saying things, it's another thing living that. I said to the players when I came in, it's a clean slate for everybody. So it was only right for me to have a conversation with him.
"Really good conversation. I got to know him really, really well. It was the right thing to be back involved with the group.
"Because of the situation he's been in, he's behind in terms of his fitness, his match fitness, and we'll keep working with him really, really hard to get him up to speed."
