Bundesliga pair in Chelsea contact for Nkunku, but terms proving difficult

While eager to clear the France attacker off their books, Chelsea management are insisting he departs only in a permanent transfer.

Bayern Munich and former club RB Leipzig are in contact with Chelsea for Nkunku, who favours a move to Bayern.

However, the issue is that Bayern are insisting on a loan-to-buy arrangement, with sports chief Max Eberl adamant they won't budge on their proposal.

Leipzig, meanwhile, have already had two loan offers rebuffed by the Blues.

Chelsea need to sell in order to make room in their wage budget to bring in Xavi Simons. The RB Leipzig midfielder has already struck personal terms with the Blues, but talks over a fee have so far stalled.
