According to Sport BILD, Bayern have had the player's go ahead since the Club World Cup, suggesting that the Colombian is ready to make the move to the Bundesliga after admitted that he “open” to leaving the Reds earlier this summer.
Now, as reported by journalist Florian Plettenburg, Bayern have submitted their second offer for the winger who will be waiting to see if Liverpool accept such a huge deal.
“FC Bayern have submitted their new offer to Liverpool for Luis #Diaz worth more than €67.5M.
“Talks between the clubs are ongoing. As reported, Díaz wants to join Bayern and is waiting for an agreement between the clubs. He can sign a contract running at least until 2029. The deal could still fall through.”
Bayern are said to be confident of signing Diaz despite Liverpool rejecting their first offer. The 28-year-old is seen as a way of salvaging their summer window which has not gone to plan so far with many world-class players leaving without any strong assets replacing them.
Liverpool want to keep the player, however, no talks have been held over an extension which only encourages Bayern even more. Manager Arne Slot is said to be interested in Real Madrid winger Rodrygo as a straight replacement which would be another good piece of business from Liverpool who are building one of the best attacks in Europe in hopes of defending their Premier League title.
