According to La Provence, other teams are also monitoring the 30-year-old Morocco international who could be heading out of France.

Aguerd joined Marseille from West Ham United in a €23 million deal last summer, arriving as one of the club’s marquee signings and earning a significant salary.

However, his debut season has not gone as planned having struggled to meet expectations, with injuries disrupting his rhythm throughout the campaign.

He started 21 of the 22 matches he featured in across all competitions during the 2025–26 season but has still spent considerable time sidelined due to fitness issues.

The club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League has placed financial strain on the hierarchy, and the defender could be among the players considered for a potential sale.
