Como are exploring the possibility of signing Arsenal playmaker Ethan Nwaneri this summer.

Spearheaded by the tactical brilliance of Cesc Fabregas, Como qualified for the Champions League for the first time in their history.

The Italian giants now want to use their overperformance as leverage to sign some of Europe's top talent, including Arsenal's Nwaneri

According to TEAMtalk, Como are open to capturing the 19-year-old on loan with an option to buy or discussing the possibility of a permanent transfer.

Nwaneri's long-term future at the Emirates Stadium has come under the spotlight after Mikel Arteta loaned him out to Marseille for the second half of the season.

The teenager only played 322 minutes across nine Ligue 1 matches from January onwards, but regardless of his recent struggles, Arteta's comments on Arsenal's youngest debutant should fill Fabregas with excitement.

"That's what we love about him - he's very aggressive. Before that (goal), he had another action where he made the right choice, he went for it," Arteta said in January 2025 after Nwaneri scored his first Champions League goal.

"He never (looks nervous), he's so composed, calm and confident in his ability. At 17, scoring a really important goal in the Champions League is not very common."
