The player has missed the entire 2025-26 season after struggling with a persistent patella injury that has required multiple surgeries and extensive rehabilitation.
He was officially ruled out of Sweden’s World Cup squad, ending hopes of featuring in the tournament in North America this summer.
Despite the setback, Sweden doctor Jonas Werner remains optimistic about the Tottenham forward’s long-term recovery and return to top-level football.
“He won't give up hope,” Werner said, via Sportbladet.
“He's getting plenty of help from the club and others who are helping him with his rehabilitation. I have good hopes that he will play football again.”
Kulusevski is now fully focused on being ready for the 2026-27 season, where he is expected to work under new manager Roberto De Zerbi at Tottenham Hotspur.
