The 21-year-old beat strong competition from teammates Abdukodir Khusanov and Jeremy Doku to top the fan vote, in association with the Official Supporters’ Club.
O’Reilly, who only turned 21 in March, becomes the youngest ever winner of the award, two months younger than Michael Brown when he claimed it in 1998.
The achievement caps a memorable season for the youngster, who was also included in England’s World Cup squad alongside James Trafford, Marc Guehi and John Stones.
O'Reilly has made 53 appearances this season, playing 4,043 minutes and contributing nine goals and six assists, despite spending much of the campaign at left-back. .
