It remains to be seen whether the youngster will feature in England’s squad to face Latvia on Tuesday with star forward Harry Kane set to return from injury.
Scarlett is currently with Tottenham’s Under-21s following an unsuccessful loan spell with Championship side Oxford United for the first half of last season.
England will secure qualification to next year’s World Cup with a win over Latvia having beat them 3-0 in the reverse fixture.
