Hojlund scored a brace for Denmark as they picked apart Belarus 6-0 in a World Cup qualifier, taking his tally for club and country to seven goals already this season as he basks in his fine from away from the Red Devils.
After a dismal 2024-25 campaign at United, where he scored 10 goals in 52 matches, the Dane is on fire as he leads Napoli in the Serie A and Denmark to World Cup qualification.
The 22-year-old made the move to Italian champions Italy on a season-long loan this summer and has proved many doubters wrong as he continues to find the back of the net.
After the victory over Greece over the international break, Hojlund took to social media to speak on his fine form:
"A wise man once said: Goals are like ketchup. Once they come, they keep on coming."
Hojlund only found the back of the net four times in the Premier League for United last season but in just six appearances across Serie A and the Champions League, Hojlund has already matched that goal tally under Napoli manager Antonio Conte.
Napoli have a £43M clause to buy Hojlund permanently from United at the end of his loan. This price seems more and more reasonable as the weeks go on, and it is becoming very likely that the Italian side will trigger the clause next summer.
