According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Maguire is now set to be a surprise exclusion from this summer’s England squad.
It’s understood that the centre back is ‘shocked’ by Tuchel’s decision not to take him following an impressive season at club level.
Maguire has reestablished himself as a key figure for Man United under Michael Carrick, starting 18 of his 22 Premier League appearances.
“I am shocked. I was confident I could have played a major part this summer for my country after the season I’ve had”.
