Thierry Henry has dropped a major hint over who could succeed Didier Deschamps as France manager, with the World Cup-winning coach expected to step aside after 2026.

Deschamps, 55, will step down as manager of the France national team after the 2026 World Cup having spent 13-years in the job.

His impressive time at the helm reached its crescendo in 2018 as France won the World Cup, beating Croatia 4-2 in the final.

It is widely expected that former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane will take over from Deschamps once he finally calls it a day, although it is yet to be confirmed by any party.

Speaking in a CBS press conference, Arsenal legend Henry suggested he already knew who will take over next summer.

Henry said: "We all know who the new manager will be. You know it, I know it, and I wish him all the best."
