Champions Argentina needed extra time to beat Cape Verde 3-2 in a thrilling last-32 tie which sees them progress to face Egypt in the Round of 16.
Tottenham defender Cristian Romero headed in the game winner from Lionel Messi's corner in the 111th minute to secure the win which sees them take one step closer to retaining their title.
