The 34-year-old was selected for this summer’s World Cup ahead of Chelsea’s Joao Pedro, his first call-up since Brazil’s 2-0 defeat to Uruguay, in which he tore his ACL.
Neymar then picked up a calf injury, meaning he will be out of action for the next three weeks and will likely miss the opened game of the tournament.
Questions were asked about whether Ancelotti would drop him, but the Italian has now confirmed that Neymar is still in his World Cup plans.
Ancelotti told reporters ahead of Brazil’s friendly against Panama: "To be clear, Neymar is going to be with us. We think he can recover for the first match (against Morocco) and, if not, for the second (against Haiti)."
The coach remained firm on his selection choices, adding: "No doubt that these 26 players are going to play in the World Cup."
