Tottenham defender Pedro Porro has spoken on his future at the club and the harsh defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Super Cup.

Porro was one of the main figures behind Tottenham’s long-awaited trophy triumph last season as they beat Manchester United 1-0 in the Europa League final thanks to a Brennan Johnson finish.

The 26-year-old has featured in all 11 of the club's matches so far this season under new manager Thomas Frank, who clearly has a lot of faith in the Argentina international as he makes a push for European football.

Porro has a contract through to the summer of 2028 and yet the media has speculated that he could leave, especially after former manager and his friend Ange Postecoglou was brutally sacked.

However, he has given an update on his future, which looks to be in North London.

“The truth is, I’m very happy and very settled at Tottenham," Porro said.

"The start of the season has been very good.

“It’s a shame we lost the Super Cup final on penalties against Paris Saint-Germain.

"After going 2-0 up, you have to win that title, but for me, they’re one of the best clubs in the world. If you’re not focused for the full 90 minutes, that’s what happens.”

Frank’s side will likely go deep in the Champions League and finish within a European spot in a season that should please Porro who seems happier than ever at Spurs.
