The 32-year-old veteran who barely put a foot wrong against league leaders Arsenal over the weekend as the Red Devils picked up another 3 points under interim manager Michael Carrick.
This was his 450th league game in his career so far, and he showed his experience once against when pitted against the Gunners, who were outclassed by United on Sunday.
According to reports from The Athletic, agents representing clubs in both the Italian Serie A and the Turkish Super Lig are in talks with Maguire over a possible summer move which would damage United’s defence which is led by the England international.
Maguire had played just 11 minutes of football in two-and-a-half months since injuring his thigh at Tottenham in November before starting against Manchester City and is proving himself be essential for United’s success as the season goes on.
As per The Athletic Maguire has started only six league games this term, but has picked up four wins against City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea, plus a draw at Spurs, and just one defeat, at Brentford.
Maguire still has plenty to offer and at 33 years old the common consensus amongst fans is that he should be handed a new deal for at least a year to cement his place in the side even further.
The defender earns approximately £190,000 a week on his current deal and if Champions League football is achieved, a pay rise could be on the cards for Maguire who has given it all to the side.
