Napoli are on the lookout for his replacement, and have landed on Bologna’s Italiano, 46, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Italiano has done well over his two seasons at Bologna, most notably winning the Coppa Italia in 2024-25, their first major trophy since the 70s.
Talks between Italiano’s representatives and Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis are ongoing, with Max Allegri no longer an option.
