Rowe moved to Bologna at the end of the summer market after a furious clash with then Marseille teammate Adrien Rabiot, who was also moved on to AC Milan.

He told Corriere di Bologna:  "I'm having the best time here since I arrived, even if the best of my career was still my last year at Norwich, in the Championship.

"Understanding your football wasn't easy, and it took me a bit longer to fully integrate. I'm not sure why, maybe he saw something I hadn't seen.

"But I worked hard to get my space, and now we're starting to understand each other better.

On his clash with Rabiot, Rowe added:  "I don't bear a grudge. We're adults, and sometimes we get carried away by emotion. Maybe it happened to others and didn't become public; everything happens for a reason.

"That episode brought me here."
