Instead, reports Sportmediaset, Gasperini has recommended the sale of Dovbyk for the transfer windows of 2026 - including as early as January.
The 28 year-old has no intention of leaving Roma, although management will give the green light to selling the striker for €25m.
Dovbyk, formerly of Girona, has a deal with Roma to 2029.
