Off contract in June, Dybala is wanted by Roma next season, but will have to accept a drastic pay-cut to stay.
La Gazzetta dello Sport says he earns €8.5m-a-year plus bonuses. Management is clear that its wage ceiling now is €4m-a-year, which would mean a reduction of more than 50 per cent for the Argentine's contract.
Roma plan to offer Dybala the maximum (€4m-a-year) plus future bonuses. However, they believe fellow midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini, who is also coming off contract, has a better chance of staying as they plan to offer him €3m-a-year plus bonuses than Dybala.
Among suitors for Dybala are Boca Juniors, which are trying to lure him back home to Argentina this summer.
