Sancho has signed with Villa on-loan to the end of the season.
Massara told DAZN: "As for Sancho, it was a possibility, but there weren't any general reasons to bring him here. We have a very strong attacking unit, like (Artem) Dovbyk, and we're confident we can work well with the players we have at our disposal."
Massara also commented on Lorenzo Pellegrini's situation, adding: "First of all, we know that football is so dynamic that things can evolve very quickly. He and we are focused on the pitch.
"He's a strong player who cares about Roma and will make a contribution."
