De Bruyne underwent his operation yesterday after suffering the injury in the weekend's defeat at Inter Milan.

Physio Lieven Maesschalck reported to HLN: "How's Kevin? Good. The goal is, obviously, for him to be back to his best. How will we approach this? We don't know yet.
"Tomorrow we'll discuss exactly what the rehabilitation will entail. But the surgery went well."
De Bruyne is expected to be away for five months as he recovers from the setback.
