Locatelli says comparisons with the great teams of the past are unfair for the current squad.
He told Sky Italia: "In my opinion, we Juventus players of the past shouldn't talk because we have to prove it on the pitch.
"We feel like we're Juve, but Juve have to be on the pitch to prove they're Juve players, and that level is demonstrated on the pitch. I think it's often said that Juve aren't at their level.
"Yes, we need to keep quiet and do things well. I don't think that's our level, but we shouldn't dwell on what Juve did in the past, because they were different players, totally different. We have to get this straight.
"We definitely need to do much more than that, absolutely. We need to do much more than that, absolutely. We need to do much more than that."
