After this week's sudden departure of Daniele Prade, Fiorentina have decided to make an internal appointment to replace him.

Technical director Roberto Goretti will also take on the duties of sporting director. The news comes 24 hours after the dismissal of coach Stefano Pioli.
Goretti will be tasked with finding Pioli's successor.
Viola management announced today: "ACF Fiorentina announces that Roberto Goretti is the Club's new Sporting Director. Goretti, already Technical Director since the 2024/25 season, takes on responsibility for the Viola Club's sporting area."
