He told Tuttosport: "I had no doubt he would do great things. He impressed me straight away; at 18, I made him a starter in Serie B.
"He feels and sees the goal like few others. That's why I was convinced he would have a great career, and I'm not surprised to see him even more decisive at Inter than at Parma.
"When the quality increases, he manages to excel and perform even better. That's why he now makes more of a difference compared to a team fighting for survival.
"Despite his long arms and powerful physique, however, he can improve his mental and aerial game."
