The midfielder, who has just turned 23, has made 21 appearances for Bologna this season, scoring twice.
Fiorentina announced today: "ACF Fiorentina announces that it has acquired, on a loan basis with an option to buy and an obligation under certain conditions, the registration rights of the player Giovanni Fabbian from Bologna FC."
Fiorentina currently sit one place outside the bottom three on goal difference.
