Liverpool's Federico Chiesa could leave to join Juventus in a huge January deal as he seeks game time.

Chiesa has made 34 appearances for the Reds, scoring four times, but is rarely started by manager Arne Slot, who threw the winger on with just 5 minutes remaining once again against Fulham at the weekend.

As his minutes dwindle, the Italian star is reportedly open to the prospect of a Juventus return, just a year and a half on from his exit from the Turin club.

Now, an update from Fabrizio Romano will give Liverpool a headache as they make a huge decision on the 28-year-old’s future.

“Juventus made formal contact to show interest in Federico Chiesa over possible return in January.

“Juve are looking to add +1 winger this month and Chiesa is appreciated.

“Decision up to Liverpool and the player, still early stages.”

Roma are also said to be interested in Chiesa who is reportedly open to a Serie A return if it means he will begin to start games rather be used as a super sub.

Chiesa has started just two Premier League games under Slot and his game time is not set to improve over the rest of the season despite various injuries.

The January window offers him the perfect escape route and therefore opens the door for Liverpool to bolster their attack once more before the window shuts at the end of the month.
