Vicario made errors to hand Callum Hudson-Odoi a double against a Forest side who cruised to a 3-0 victory over manager Thomas Frank and his side at the weekend.
The Italian has been playing well below par for some time now and as reports link him with a move to the Serie A, many are calling for him to be axed from Frank’s side.
Speaking on Sky Sports' Extra Time show, Carragher has been the latest pundit to tear into the shot stopper who could depart in the January transfer window.
“It's not just a keeper playing out,' he began. 'It's a keeper on his weak foot. Typical Vicario, he is always blaming someone else.
“Every time I see a goal go in, he throws his arms at someone else. He seems to do it a lot, and he did it again today.
“We can talk about young Archie Gray in midfield, but I'm putting this on the goalkeeper.
“Archie Gray could do a lot better, of course, he could, but what the lad does initially is he is trying to help someone who doesn't actually need help.
“The goalkeeper doesn't actually need any help because the ball should go out wide to his player. I don't know what the problem is. There is no real pressure on it.”
Spurs have only won four games in the English top-flight at their own ground in 2025 and as fans grow even more frustrated, Vicario may be the first to leave as Frank tries to fix his sides’ dire form.
