A former Verona and Cagliari striker, Cammarta came through the system at Juve, though never managed to make his senior debut with the Bianconeri.
Juve great Del Piero remains on the outer of the club, though there is a good relationship.
Cammarata told TMW: "It would be a great thing, because he embodies the symbol. If you think of Juve, you think of Alex Del Piero, and I could see him doing well. He's a fabulous guy. He's perfect. Is he cumbersome?
"Yes, but teams need to employ this type of person, who has a significant impact on the players, who can set an example.
"Those who have been involved in football understand certain dynamics sooner. The Del Pieros and Tottis should come back... Look at Maldinis, they are people who can have a huge impact. They can only do good for football; they've been in it for thirty years.
"It's not a given that someone who plays football will also do well in other roles."
