Inter defeated Como 4-3 on Sunday night to move nine points clear at the top of the Serie A table.
Augusto said afterwards: "It was a very important match; it's never easy to play in Como. We showed what we want, we played a great team game, and that's what matters most. We're united, we're a great group, and that made the difference.
"These are games like this, where you're not in control of the game, but if you win like that, that's fine. We're there, we're fighting to win, and we'll do it until the last match."
The Brazil international also told La Domenica Sportiva: "The goal at the end of the first half was very important, we know how difficult it is to go two down at halftime.
"Plus, we scored it right after theirs, which was very tough. At halftime you have 15 minutes to talk, which you don't have on the pitch. We cleared our thoughts and came in in the second half to do our best."
