Napoli boss Antonio Conte has opened up on the injury crisis at the club which has hurt the club this season.

Napoli suffered an away 3-0 loss against Juventus on Sunday, a result that sums up the club’s season so far, after several injuries to key players has left the side in ruin.

Conte’s side missed out on the likes of Kevin de Bruyne, David Neres, Frank Anguissa, Amir Rrahmani, Vanja Milinkovic-Savic and Billy Gilmour during the clash, and, and he stated that his side are in real trouble after the game.

"The last league game we lost was against Udinese, and then many others happened, including the Super Cup, which we played in a state of emergency. Now we’re in a real emergency."

"We’re losing players one after another. We’re not talking about short absences: some have had surgery, others have had extended recovery times.

"We’ve also lost our goalkeeper, others weren’t available today. It’s becoming really difficult.

“The boat is in the middle of the sea with very high waves, and, and it’s dangerous, but no one wants to disembark. It’s a question of honour, of men even before sportsmen.”

Napoli are 25th in the Champions League and must beat Chelsea to stay in Europe. A loss would be devastating for the Italian champions, who have fallen from grace thanks to so many players picking up knocks.
