A 3-0 win at Bologna saw Milan move within five points of Serie A leaders Inter Milan.
After the victory, Rabiot told Sportmediaset: "Always with the same spirit. We're keeping the league open because the other teams aren't doing well, apart from Inter.
"If it weren't for us, Inter would go out on their own! We're doing great, now we need to take some time to rest. We need to demonstrate, as we've been doing since the beginning, our character and our solidity as a team.
"The fans are also giving us a hand."
Of his own form, Rabiot also said: "I have to play my role... I'm among the most experienced, I have to be qualitative and also try to raise everyone's level with my character, staying focused and training hard every day.
"Players like me, (Mike) Maignan, and (Luka) Modric have experience, even the coach knows it's a tough season. We haven't done anything, we mustn't lose focus."
