The 2022 Ballon d’Or winner has scored 53 goals in his 83 games for the club, winning a King’s Cup and a Saudi Pro League title along the way.
His contract is set to expire at the end of the 2025-26 season, but Al Ittihad director Planes doesn’t appear too worried.
When asked about Benzema's future, Planes said: "He wants to stay, he's keen to continue in Saudi Arabia and with Al-Ittihad. He's seen that there's a serious project there with good players.”
