Scottish Labour politician Lord George Foulkes has called for an 'inquiry' into Celtic's title win on Saturday (May 16).

Celtic came from a goal down at Parkhead to break Hearts’ hearts and lift another Scottish Premiership title.

Hearts had led the title race for most of the season but couldn’t get it over the line on the final day of the campaign.

Celtic’s title win wasn’t short of controversy, however, with a penalty awarded in the last minute of their 3-2 win over Motherwell for a contentious hand ball.

Lord George Foulkes, a lifelong Hearts fan who was in attendance for the game took to X, formally known as Twitter, to vent his frustrations.

"Just back from Parkhead The fans in hospitality were friendly Particularly Brian Wilson Some wouldn't even have minded if we had won But the outcome left a bad taste in the mouth & the result appeared predetermined Some kind of inquiry is needed", he said.
