Now 22, Hugill moved to United in 2020 from Sunderland.
Hugill has gained senior competitive experience through a series of loan spells in the English Football League, including at Altrincham, Burton Albion, Wigan Athletic, Carlisle United and most recently Barnet.
Kilmarnock currently sit second from bottom on the Scottish Premiership table.
