Chelsea are entering an exciting new era, led by master tactician Xabi Alonso, and the Spaniard is already drawing up plans for the summer.

A huge squad overhaul is on the horizon at Stamford Bridge, and Alonso's big priority is capturing ready-made players, moving away from Chelsea's strategy of signing youngsters with huge potential.

The Blues have mostly recruited players aged 21 and under from abroad to varying degrees of success, but reports suggest that they're now ready to sign a teenager who has already proven himself in the Premier League.

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea want to be "kept informed" of Eli Junior Kroupi's situation this summer after a record-breaking campaign at Bournemouth

Kroupi's goal against Manchester City on Tuesday saw him overtake Robbie Fowler and Robbie Keane for the most goals for a teenager in their debut Premier League campaign.

The 19-year-old has struck 13 times in the top-flight this term, with such goal scoring exploits drawing interest from title winners Arsenal.

Any club looking to prise the Frenchman away from the Vitality Stadium could hit a stumbling block, though, as Bournemouth isn't he's "not for sale" and have placed an £100 million price tag on his head.
