A woman who blackmailed Son Heung-min with a false pregnancy claim and extorted more than £150,000 from the LAFC star during his time at Tottenham has now been sentenced to jail.

According to Sky News, a South Korean woman only known as Yang, has been accused of blackmailing and extorting 300m won (£152,000) from ex-Tottenham star Son in 2024.

The woman sent Son an ultrasound of a baby which she claimed was his and demanded money to stay silent about the situation.

On Monday, the Seoul Central District Court stated that Yang had deceived Son, although she has yet to clarify the identity of the child’s father.

Yang continues to deny the charges of extortion and attempted extortion, while her male accomplice, known as Yong, confessed and has been sentenced to two years in jail.
