Wolves goalkeeper Sam Johnstone branded themselves "embarrassing" after defeat at Fulham on Saturday.

The 3-0 reverse saw manager Vitor Pereira dismissed on Sunday, with Wolves now bottom of the Premier League table and winless.

Johnstone said, “It was frustrating. Embarrassing. It’s not good enough and we need to do better. We should be embarrassed, and they might not want to hear it, but we obviously apologise to the fans.

“We’re trying our best, but we have to keep going. We’ve got good players and we need to turn it around quickly.

“I’m being completely honest. I think pretty much everything went wrong.

“It’s difficult to find the words. There’s a lot of emotions and it’s very difficult at the minute.”
