It was almost immediately a bad evening for Spurs with the visitors going 2-0 ahead after just six minutes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The booing started after Guglielmo Vicario’s howler for Fulham’s second goal and was persistent throughout the game.
A furious Porro, 26, stormed down the tunnel after the final whistle blew, with even louder boos from the home fans ringing around the stadium.
He has since taken to Instagram to hit back at the fans for their ‘disrespect’, saying: “Football is emotions. In football, as it life, there can always be mistakes, what I will not tolerate is hearing disrespect from the fans to my teammates, hence my frustration at the end of the game.
“We remind you six months ago, everything was so bad, and in the end it is not how it begins, but how it ends. To the true Spurs fan, I love you.”
