Chelsea remain confident in their pursuit of Alejandro Garnacho and are prepared to bide their time, despite growing competition from Napoli for the Man United winger.

The 21-year-old is one of five Man United players that are currently training away from the first team with manager Ruben Amorim focussing on players he sees as part of his plans for the upcoming 2025-26 season.

Garnacho had a high-profile falling out with Amorim after he was dropped from the starting eleven for their 1-0 Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for the young winger having previously had an offer turned down by United in January.

According to The i Paper, Marcus Rashford’s move to Barcelona will accelerate United’s effort to get rid of their other unwanted stars.

Enzo Maresca’s side aren’t in any rush to make a move for Garnacho, however, and will wait to see if their Premier League rivals lower their £60 million asking price.

Serie A champions Napoli are also interested in the Argentinian but it’s understood the player would prefer to remain in England.
