“You could say that the (international) break sometimes comes at a bad time when you're on a nice little run,” Wilson said.

“But nevertheless, we took the two wins, the positives. It's been a good break in terms of training and a lot of positivity around the place, and everyone's upbeat and confident going into the next game now.

“I left Bournemouth in 2020, and I've not been back since. I've missed the game every year, so I've never been back to the Vitality.

“So I'm looking forward to that on a personal level in terms of just being in a place where I managed to build my name and help the team get great success over the years. I've not actually played on that pitch or been to the stadium since I left, so it's going to be a nice moment, in terms of just being back there again.

“It's a tight pitch, smaller stadium. It's one of those environments where the fans are quite close to you, and when you're the home team, it can work to your advantage.

“And more often than not, teams used to go down there and see the stadium and not really be as motivated as going to somewhere like Old Trafford, for example. But we need to make sure that as a team, we don't fall short of that and that we're all focused and mentally engaged for the match.

“For me, when I go to away games, I always go out onto the pitch, look around the stadium, remember the good things that happened in there and use it to my advantage.

“I've scored many goals in both nets during the warm-up, so hopefully I'll be able to do it against them.

“I'm looking forward to it, and it will definitely be something I'll take in and use to my advantage.”
