The Athletic says Palace had accepted a £27m offer from the Irons for Nketiah.

However, the deal collapsed due to Nketiah suffering a hamstring injury. The former Arsenal striker has been missing since the New Year due to the issue and West Ham felt it was too big a gamble to take at the time.
Palace were also keen on Hammers striker Callum Wilson, though their move stalled due to manager Oliver Glasner's negative opinion.
Glasner's input came before his announcement that he would be leaving the Eagles at the end of the season - along with Wilson's sudden form surge.
