According to The Athletic, the 27-year-old’s long-awaited move from Sporting to Arsenal is imminent after the two clubs agreed a deal worth £54.8m plus £8.6m.

Fabrizio Romano then got in on the act, giving the deal his approval with his famous “Here we go” catchphrase that has become so synonymous with transfers.
