Isak now appears to have gotten his wish as the two clubs agreed a British record fee of £130 million for the wantaway striker.
Several reports have suggested that an announcement is imminent, and Isak has since been spotted at Liverpool’s John Lennon airport as he put the finishing touches to his deal.
This will be the second time Liverpool have broken the transfer record this summer having already spent £116 million of Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.
