As Guardiola missed City’s press conference due to a personal issue, Toure stepped in and took over media duties ahead of the clash with Crystal Palace.
City have won 149 top-flight matches while scoring three or more goals under Guardiola, only Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson have reached 150 games in a statistic that shows how the Spaniard is still pushing to be the best manager the English top flight has ever seen.
Toure was full of praise for Guardiola ahead of the game and expressed how the 54-year-old still brings energy and motivation to the side after several years in charge.
“I'm so surprised with all the years that he's done in the league and now the energy that he still has every day.
“The passion he brings to every meeting, training sessions. He's enjoying himself every day and we are enjoying it.
“You can see in the games, it doesn't matter what happens, we have a big spirit in the team, we have a lot of energy, we are fighting for every single ball.
“We play but one thing they had more is aggression, the fighting for the second balls for example. That's the difference from last season.”
City are heading into this weekend’s clash on four straight wins, including a stunning 2-1 Champions League triumph over Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on Wednesday night.
If Arsenal slip this weekend, City could go top of the Premier League and possibly sit there heading into the new year as Guardiola chases down his seventh Premier League title.
