Tottenham move to beat Liverpool to landing Palace defender Guehi

Liverpool are ready to move for the England international after selling Jarell Quansah to Bayer Leverkusen.

However, the Reds won't get a clear run with Tottenham also keen.

Thie Mirror says Spurs are in contact with Palace and ready to kickoff negotiations over a fee for the defender.

Guehi has less than a year to run on his contract and saw a £70m offer from Tottenham for him rejected by Palace in January.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are set to launch a bid for Guehi once their deal for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike is completed.
